Companies understand the value of hiring veterans in any profession. Not only for their leadership
skills, but for their strong character and finely tuned ability to get the job done.
ALPFA is committed to
creating opportunities for our Latino community, and in particular, our veteran community. We have
discovered that this community has often undervalued their own potential to make strong contributions
in corporate America. ALPFA is here to bridge the gap.
In the coming months we will be launching our Veterans Initiative aimed at assisting Veterans in their
search for employment and their transition to the workforce.
Whether you are a veteran who has
already transitioned, will be transitioning soon, or a civilian committed to helping this community, we
hope that you join us in this initiative.
Stay tuned, more to come!
2016 Veteran of the Year Award - John Ramirez.
"I distinctly remember my first year as a business professional, feeling like everything I did and said was wrong. It wasn’t until I was introduced to ALPFA that I realized I wasn’t wrong, I simply had a different perspective. ALPFA helped me identify the parts of my personality that came from my Latino culture and Military service and leverage those to succeed. They also gave me a network of Latinos who knew exactly what I was going through. Being part of the ALPFAmilia has changed my life and given me the confidence I did not realize I needed."

“It’s an honor to represent the Veteran community at ALPFA as a Chapter President. ALPFA has provided me with the opportunity to continue serving after I left active duty. It was an incredible honor to receive the 2017 ALPFA Veteran of the Year award and inspire others to continue their service through this great organization.”
