Henry is a Peruvian immigrant, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, living in Japan, Quantico, and Puerto Rico, before returning to Chicago where he grew up. He attended several colleges, before graduating from DePaul University, with a B.S. in Commerce.
Like most Veterans, Henry experienced various careers. He ended up finding a fit in Marketing, Sales, Marketing Automation, and Salesforce Administration. The one consistency in his life after the military was volunteering and joining the board of ALPFA, which at the time was an association for Latino professional in Accounting and Finance.
Taking a year away from ALPFA, Henry focused more of his free time in reading books on Entrepreneurship, personal self-development and Leadership. Simultaneously, ALPFA has transformed its mission, to focus on empowering Latino Leaders of character, in every sector of the economy. Finding a great leader in the current Chicago chapter President and a new visionary CEO, Henry found a calling to join ALPFA as staff full time. Locally his mission is helping the Chicago board continue building a pipeline of Latino Leaders from the Classroom to the Boardroom.
A transformational goal requires continuous attention. Waking up to the big vision. Tracking and reflecting on the activities. Pivoting where needed. Consulting from other big thinkers. And injecting your enthusiasm!
