Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President & Treasurer - CNL Financial Group

Ms. Duarte serves as chief financial officer, senior vice president and treasurer of CNL Healthcare Properties, Inc., a public, unlisted real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests principally in healthcare. She has 25+ years of experience and has oversight of all financial functions, including accounting, SEC reporting, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, audit, tax and treasury. Ms. Duarte also oversees all accounting and financial reporting functions for CNL’s real estate and alternative investment platform subject to public company reporting and is involved with product development of new public products on the CNL platform.

Prior to rejoining CNL in January 2012, Ms. Duarte’s professional career included five years as Controller at GE Capital - Franchise Finance where she oversaw the accounting and financial reporting of GE’s franchised loan and lease portfolio. Ms. Duarte also served as SVP and Chief Accounting Officer of Trustreet Properties, Inc., a publicly traded restaurant REIT and previously served as SVP and Chief Accounting Officer of four public, unlisted REITs sponsored by CNL.

Prior to CNL, Ms. Duarte was audit manager in the Orlando, Florida, office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, and started her career as an audit staff in the New York office of KPMG.

Ms. Duarte received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Ms. Duarte currently serves as Vice-Chair of the ALPFA National Board of Directors and serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Central Florida. She previously served as Board Member and Treasurer of the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando.
