Operation Helping Hands is designed to solve the COVID-19 situation disproportionately impacting high performing Hispanic college students who have had internships rescinded, and helping companies create meaningful engagement for their employees
with the Hispanic community.
The 8-week program will consist of ALPFA fellows - high potential students - selected from ALPFA Chapters across the country. The ALPFA Fellows will be put into teams (Pods) that together will solve an assigned real-life business or
societal problem chosen by our partner organizations.
Fellows are expected to work 10 – 15 hours per week on the problem and will present their solution to the partner organization at the end of the 8-week program. The ALPFA Fellows program will also include 1-2 hours a week of professional
development training for eight weeks, designed to build “soft skills” and technical skills that are critical to success in the workforce.
