Overview The Boston tech sector plays an important role in Massachusetts’ employment. In 2017, the tech sector created close to 400,000 jobs. Many tech-related jobs are projected to grow by double digits in the future. This future growth in the technological sector will continue to transform the business landscape. New jobs will be created; existing roles will be redefined; and workers will have the opportunity to switch careers. To increase the likelihood of successfully adapting to these new changes, the current workforce must invest in the right skillset required for the future of work.
The investment team is putting together a Tech event for our current ALPFA Boston members to learn about how automation will affect the future of work. Automation is the implementation of technology to perform or execute processes without human intervention. It’s important for our members to also understand how automation will impact their careers and how they can best prepare for the forthcoming advancements in technology.
The goal is to provide our members an opportunity to understand what automation means and for the skillset needed to succeed in the technology driven industries of the future.
• To provide an opportunity for all attendees to understand what Automation is
• To raise awareness for our attendees to understand what skillset will be required for them to be successful in the industries of the future
• To provide an opportunity for our attendees to network with other like-minded members
