In a 2016 study, Harvard found that 76% of Latinx professionals felt they had to repress parts of their persona at work. In the years since, we continue to hear this concern when speaking to Latinx professionals. Operation Helping Hands is designed to solve the issue of COVID-19 disproportionately impacting high performing Hispanic college students who have had internships rescinded, and to help companies create meaningful engagement for their employees with the Hispanic community. ALPFA Fellows are high potential students, selected from ALPFA Chapters across the country, who are put into teams (Pods) that will solve a real life business or societal problem chosen by our partner organizations.

ALPFA's 2-Day Leadership Development Program is the organization's premier emerging leaders training program. Based on ALPFA's L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Engagement, Advancement & Development) framework, it offers a holistic approach to personal and professional growth. The program is designed for Latinx leaders who have a successful track record and are well-positioned for next level advancement. By leveraging group and individual exercises, tools, strategies, mentoring, and assessments, the participants are able to explore areas of opportunity, challenge existing limiting beliefs and obstacles, and design their desired future outcomes.

ALPFA SCHOLARSHIP

These awards assist ALPFA students with meeting the financial obligations of their degree program. In addition to the general criteria outlined below, individual and corporate donors may specify differentiating criteria to be applied in selecting a recipient for an award.

ENGAGEMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Designed by the members of the national Women of ALPFA Strategic Development Council (WOA-SDC) and based on established research from accredited sources and leading experts in program design, the Framework for 2019-2021 will focus on providing Latinas with strategies for navigating the digital and social media landscape, developing tactical competencies for leadership, improving communication and presentation skills, and developing financial empowerment.
