Juliette Antwan is the Global IT Internal Audit Manager at Delphi Automotive where she is responsible for the planning and execution of IT SOX and IT risk based audits globally. Juliette leads teams to execute these audits across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Delphi, Juliette was a Manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, with the Advisory practice where she worked in projects relating to the testing of controls supporting external and internal audits, issuance of SSAE 16/18 / Service Organization Controls Report (SOC 1 and 2), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, IT risk based audits, and board governance projects. Her primary focus was in automotive and financial services audit clients. In addition to her client work, Juliette was the Detroit champion of Deloitte’s Hispanic Network (HNet) diversity initiative.

Prior to her current role as Vice President, Juliette previously held the Director of Student Affairs title for the Michigan ALPFA chapter where she oversaw student chapters at Wayne State University, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and Grand Valley State University.

Juliette holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Accounting from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) with a major in Management Information Systems from Oakland University. Juliette is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Christian Rosales is a manager in KPMG’s Global Mobility Services Tax practice. He has spent his entire career with KPMG, starting in 2013 in Houston, TX and relocated to Detroit in October 2017. During his tenure, he has worked on a variety of global tax compliance and tax consulting projects with a heavy focus on coordination with global teams. Christian has experience providing a vast array of global mobility, international payroll, and global equity services. His main industry focus is industrial manufacturing and has vast experience in oil & gas and retail industries as well. He has been an active member of ALPFA since 2013 and serves as the current Vice-President of the Michigan chapter.

Eduardo Salas is a long time Detroit native, growing up in Southwest Detroit, attending Western High School, and moving back to his roots after college. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he studied Finance & Strategy at the Ross School of Business. Eduardo graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and then started his career with Deloitte. While at the University of Michigan, Eduardo was one of the founding members of the ALPFA student chapter. After graduation, Eduardo joined the Michigan professional board as the Director of Student Affairs, and eventually transitioned to his current role as Treasurer.

Eduardo started at Deloitte as a consultant in Business Risk Advisory, focusing on business processes and system implementation. His main industry while at Deloitte was Automotive and Manufacturing, supporting several of the major auto companies in Detroit. Eduardo left Deloitte as a 2nd year Senior Consultant in 2019, and made the transition to the sports industry with Xenith.

As a project manager at Xenith, Eduardo works with a team of developers and engineers to design and execute the technology architecture needed to support the growth of a football start up. Some projects include redesigning how orders are received and fulfilled. Involved improving automation in Xenith’s ERP system, inventory set up, and integrations with Xenith’s sales channels such as Shopify, Salesforce, and Big Box retail partners. Additional projects that Eduardo has led are supporting the Sales and Marketing team with a redefined “Sales Approach & Stages”, as well as setting out a robust “Lead Management” process.

Eduardo takes his experience in business processes and consulting to identify opportunities of improvement, and work with respective teams to develop strategy through people, process, and technology that support growth.

Vivica Townsin is a Kindergarten elementary school teacher who has a passion for helping the Latino community in the Metro Detroit area. Prior to teaching, Vivica was a human resource specialist at Deloitte where she supported employees during international assignments.br

Vivica holds an MBA from Wayne State University in Human Resource Management.

Brenda Rios is director of Public Relations for Ally, where she leads external communications for the financial company’s auto business. A former reporter at the Detroit Free Press, Brenda has held a variety of communications leadership roles at GM, Trinity Health and Anthem Inc.

Brenda is married with three children and loves the outdoors, travel and dancing.

Stephany is a Corporate Finance professional currently working at a Urban Mobility startup within General Motors, Maven. Prior to Maven she has had various roles in Global Product Development, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, and Sales & Marketing. At GM she is also part of the GM Latino Network.

Stephany graduated with a degree in Economics from Florida International University in Miami, FL.

Stefanie Thornton is a Human Resources Professional with over 15 years of experience building and leading Talent Acquisition teams to drive business efficiency. She has worked within multiple industries including manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunications and consulting. As Head of Talent Acquisition with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Stefanie has oversight for the staffing and recruitment function for North America. Her role includes diversity recruitment, university relations, internship programs, social media and career branding.

Throughout her career she has acquired specialized knowledge in areas including integrating Talent Acquisition teams, talent innovation strategy, talent technology implementation for enterprise organizations, diversity recruitment strategy, career branding and building college recruitment/internship programs. Stefanie is a frequent national speaker offering thought leadership on a variety of topics at events such as Bersin, Oracle HCM World, HR Tech and TalentConnect.

Stefanie is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Social Science. She is also a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XXXIV. Stefanie serves as a board member on the Michigan Diversity Council and as Director of Corporate Development for ALPFA (Association of Hispanic & Latino Professionals for America).

Marcia Leobel is the Manager of Technical Accounting at DTE Energy, a Detroit-based diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Marcia is responsible for overseeing the preparation and timely issuance of DTE Energy, DTE Electric and DTE Gas annual and quarterly financial statements filed, furnished or provided to the SEC, FERC, MPSC, DOL and other external users. Additionally functions as DTE’s leading technical accounting expert on current and evolving accounting rules and regulations (GAAP).

Marcia joined DTE Energy in August 2015. Prior to DTE, Marcia was employed with FCA US in the External Reporting Group and at KPMG as an audit Senior Manager. Marcia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil).

Steven Ventura is the Strategy and Performance Management Group Analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shieldof Michigan. In his current role, Ventura is responsible for technology utilized to report and manage the strategic corporate project portfolios and budget for the enterprise roadmap. Prior to this position, Ventura worked as Corporate Compliance Technology Specialist, an auditor with the Corporate Compliance Office. Before joining Blue Cross, Ventura held positions as a Lead Finance/HR Business Strategy Specialist for Massó Roofing Inc. in San Juan Puerto Rico, Cost Financial Analyst for Chrysler LLC and HR Generalist for DaimlerChrysler. Ventura’s Corporate Compliance experience includes regulatory compliance with the department of labor, Audit Committee and Corporate Compliance reporting, implementation of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the compliance training program and the management of compliance technology projects. Finance experience includes yearly budget planning ($600k to $200 million), business plan development, month end close and product cost analysis. HR experience includes employment, labor relations, health and safety, succession planning, salary and benefits, performance management, and human resources information systems. Ventura is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Ventura has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and studies in Accounting and Finance from Eastern Michigan University

Maximo Felix is an Underwriter at Quicken Loans. He is responsible for making sure loans in process meet guidelines for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and government loans. He graduated from the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University with a major in Accounting. While in college, Maximo was a member of ALPFA student chapter and has mentored students in business education with New Detroit’s Camp Enterprise program. Monica Stevens, Director of Communications & Marketing for ALPFA Michigan, is an intercultural trainer and international business consultant, owner of MES Consulting Services, LLC that serves corporate clients in Metro Detroit. Prior to this, she served as PR Coordinator for the Association of Mexican Professionals in Michigan (APROMEX). Monica has an MSBA and two BAs in Professional and Technical Writing and Spanish. She was a college professor for 13 years, and is an honorary member of Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society of the US. Prior to moving to the US, she worked as Editorial Director for a PR company in Mexico, and as Foreign Correspondent in the UK for Mexico’s "Correo Diplomático y Consular". She was also a guest speaker on business etiquette and the English language for television station Cableclub, XEX radio station in Mexico City, and “Panorama de la Mujer”. Monica is the author of seven books and numerous articles in English and Spanish, including "The Cultural Component of Global CSR" published in the Guide to Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility & PR. She has been the Detroit Immigration Examiner since 2010. Monica is a member of the Oxford Round Table in Oxford, England, where she participated in the "Human Migration: Borders and National Interests" conference with the topic "Economic, Political, and Social Impact on U.S. Welfare due to Mexican Immigration" in 2008. She was the Master of Ceremonies at the official celebration of the Bicentennial of Mexico’s independence in Detroit in 2010, and again in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She served as moderator at the 2013 Annual ERG Summit in Metro Detroit, and participated as panelist at Nissan's Hispanic Heritage Month 2013 celebrations. Monica has lived and worked in the UK, Mexico, and the US. She is married and has two children

As Co-Director of Student Affairs, Paola Camarena draws upon her experience as a founding member of the ALPFA Student Chapter at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business where she obtained her Bachelor in Business Administration.

After graduating in 2016, Paola began her career in Digital Marketing in New York City where she learned the ins and outs of brand marketing through digital channels. Currently, Paola is the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator for the City of Detroit serving the community she called home for over 15 years. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and learning new things.

Derrik Robinson is the Co-Director of Student Affairs where he connects the ALPFA student chapters throughout Michigan with the Michigan Professional Chapter. His involvement with ALPFA started in 2014, and eventually he served as the President of the University of Texas at Austin student chapter. Derrik graduated with his BBA in Supply Chain Management, and is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Michigan at Dearborn. After graduation, Derrik began his career at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles where he is the buyer for High Voltage Wiring and Battery Cables.

Rodolfo Dominguez is Vice President Business Transformation and Chief Digital Officer at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC (MBFS). He was recently named as one of the top 100 most influential and notable Hispanic Professionals in the Information Technology Industry, presented by the Hispanic IT Executive Council. The HITEC 100 list recognizes IT Hispanic professionals who are leading the way in the ever-changing global landscape of information technology. Rodolfo was previously the Vice-President of Portfolio Management (EPM) and head of the NEXUS program at MBFS. EPM is responsible for the management of the Enterprise project portfolio and to ensure alignment between corporate strategy, portfolio planning and project execution. Nexus was the largest, most complex program in MBFS’s portfolio and ended in 2016. Upon completion, NEXUS created greater flexibility and efficiencies for MBFS in North America through the implementation of common contract management processes supported by an integrated IT solution. Since joining the company in 1996, Rodolfo’s career has allowed him to lead multi-disciplinary teams in Mexico, Canada and the United States. During his tenure, Rodolfo has gained a comprehensive understanding of multiple facets of the Automotive Finance business. His work experience spans roles within Finance, Operations, Strategy, Business Transformation and General Management, including his appointment as President and CEO, Daimler Financial Services Canada following the de-merger of Daimler and Chrysler in 2007. Rodolfo holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Information Technologies and Business Administration from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM).

Avec G. O’Brien, is the U.S. Controller for SUNSET/Mastronardi Produce. In this role she is responsible for the financial affairs of the organization and focuses on a broad range of financial, operational, strategic and executive leadership issues impacting the organization. Avec is a Board Director of the Detroit chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) and a National Board Director at ALPFA. She is a graduate of Leadership Detroit (LD XXXIII). Previously, Avec was Chief Financial Officer of the Detroit Science Center. Before that, she was a manager in the assurance and enterprise risk services practice of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Avec also worked as office manager at Heidrick & Struggles and as Senior Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mexico City. Simultaneously, Avec was an associate professor at the MBA program of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Avec has served as board member and as a volunteer of several Detroit-area nonprofits. She is the founding president of the Michigan chapter of ALPFA. Avec earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Public Accounting from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Additionally, she earned her Master in Business Administration with Distinction from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Avec is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
