Membership FAQ



An ALPFA Member profile allows you to become an active part of the ALPFAmilia. It contains your personal and professional information and enables you to build connections within our Membership across the country. Depending on your Member Type, you may also receive discounts for some of our events.
To create your ALPFA Member profile, visit this link Choose the membership option of your preference by clicking the “Join Now” button and fill the requested information to complete your profile.
To change your Membership from student to professional, please follow the steps below:

1. Visit
2. Sign in to your ALPFA Member profile.
3. On the left menu, click on “Payments & History.”
4. Click on the “Membership” tab.
5. Click on “upgrade your membership.”
6. Choose your new Member Type.
7. Fill the requested information and process payment if necessary.
You can find the complete list of ALPFA Chapters here: Choose the ALPFA Chapter closer to your location. If there is no chapter near you, you may select the “At Large” option.
If you need to change your Chapter, follow the below step by step instructions:

1. Visit
2. On the top right of your screen, click on “login, “ and Log-in to your ALPFA Member profile.
3. On the top banner, click on “groups.”
4. On the right menu of your screen that reads “available groups,” join the group of the Chapter you want.
5. Search the Chapter on the “update Primary Group” dropdown and click “update.”
If you want to create a new ALPFA Chapter, please reach out to, our team will be able to assist you with all the information you may need.
To Log-in to your ALPFA Member profile, please visit and click on the “login” button located at the top right of your screen; you will be requested to sign in using your username and password.
Your ALPFA member ID is your identification number within the organization. That ID is unique to each ALPFA Member profile, and it is visible in your member profile. To find your Member ID, follow the instructions below:

1. Visit
2. Sign-in to your ALPFA Member profile.
3. Click on your name, and on the displayed menu click on “Account + Settings.”
4. On the left menu, click on “profile.”
5. Under “Account Information,” the first value gives you your type of Membership and your Member ID.
If the system found a matching profile and you believe it is not yours, please use a different username. Fill the requested first name, last name, and chapter fields and click “Continue.” You should now be able to continue creating your ALPFA Member profile.

Many of our events have special prices and discounts for our paying members. To take advantage of this exclusive benefit, you should be logged-in to your ALPFA Member profile and register for the event you would like to attend. The system will automatically know you have a paid membership and will charge you the corresponding price.
Please provide us with both your old and new email addresses at We will update your email, and you will be able to reset your password.
Please login to your ALPFA Member profile. There is a menu located on the top-left side of your screen. Click on “Payments & History.” You will be able to see and download your membership and event invoices.
Once you login to your ALPFA Member profile, go to the top menu and click on “groups.” You will see your Chapter in blue letters. When you click on it, it will send you directly to your Chapter’s webpage.

Please email us at, and send us the email addresses you used to register both accounts. We will help you merge those two profiles in one, so you don’t lose any information.
We don’t suggest you use your corporate email account as your primary email address linked to your ALPFA Member profile. Connection with our ALPFAmilia is essential and valuable to us, and we would like to stay connected with you wherever your career takes you.

Please remember to check your spam folder, sometimes the “Reset your password” email gets considered as spam.   2. On the top banner click on your name to display the options menu.
  3. Select the "Accounts + Settings" option.
  4. On the left menu click on "Payments and History" and then choose the "Membership" option.
  5. Choose the "Premium Membership Annual Renewal" option.
  6. Complete your billing information and use your promotional code at checkout to receive your discount.
