Session 1:

The Latina Edge: Bringing Your Cultural Identity & Experiences to the Table

Target Audience: Early talent to Emerging leaders

Description: Diversity & Inclusion have become major buzzwords in the corporate world. However, women still grapple with mixed messages around gender & ethnicity when it comes to traditional paths to success.
  • What do the unwritten rules of the workplace tell us about our professional style and how we show up?
  • What does being a "cultural fit" within an organization mean to women who are culturally different?
  • How do these messages impact what Latinas leave "at the door"?
  • How do we create a new worker identity so that all women can bring their true, authentic selves to the table?
This interactive session will have thought leaders sharing their stories/insights and leading participatory activities with attendees.
Session 2:

Harness your Energy: Managing Competing Priorities As You Lead

Target Audience: Emerging leaders to Executives

Description: For many working women the question is no longer, CAN I, but rather, HOW do I do it all? Latinas who have reached leadership levels find themselves managing demanding careers while also caring for children and/or aging parents.
  • How do we disrupt socially constructed expectations and cultural pressures put on women in stressful situations?
  • What can women do to avoid burn-out and incorporate more self-care?
  • How do we create a workplace that is supportive to women who are managing these competing priorities?
  • What can Latina leaders in positions of power do to change how the next generation of Latina leaders experiences these demands?
Learn what our panelists have done to disrupt traditional models and how they lead more inclusively as a result. This interactive session will also feature participatory activities between the panelists and attendees.
