ALPFA Houston Presents: Feed Your Soul (Volunteering Event)

Join ALPFA Houston while you do your community and body some good! This special event on Thursday, March 8th will consist of a volunteer shift followed by a fitness class courtesy of YogaOne Studios. The volunteer shift will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and the fitness class will be from 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to donate $5, which is the equivalent of 15 meals, or 5 canned items to help feed neighbors in need.

Parking:
Parking is available in the Food Bank's main parking lot but they also have an overflow parking lot past the rail road tracks available.

After registering online, you will receive a confirmation email with a QR code that you can use to scan in that day. You can print out the QR code or show it on their phone so you can scan yourself in the day of for check in. If you cannot register online, you can sign the waiver manually the day of.

How to dress?
Closed-toe shoes REQUIRED - smashed toes are no fun, so the Houston Food Bank strongly enforces this safety precaution. Casual dress, long pants (preferred), t-shirt with sleeves.

What to bring?
Don't forget your yoga mats, towels and water!

Please plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes before your scheduled volunteer shift so you can check in, receive instructions and start on time. If you arrive after the start of your shift, you may have to wait up to 30 minutes for orientation and assignment.
