Raymond's extensive background includes 25 years of experience with Fortune 100 companies as a senior executive in both human resources and general business, and as a board director for several nonprofit organizations. Raymond, a former Aetna chief diversity officer reporting to the CEO, was recognized as a top Hispanic executive in the U.S. in two consecutive years. During his tenure, Aetna achieved a Top 19 company for diversity rating, a marked improvement from its previous altogether exclusion from the list.
Raymond earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from New York University and a governance certificate from Harvard University. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and as a Senior Fellow of Plaza Institute as well as a member of its Global Enterprise Studies program. He has served on ALPFA's Corporate Advisory Board, as President of PRIMER, as a member of the Board of Regents of the University of Hartford, a Treasurer and Officer of the Wheeler Clinic Board of Trustees, and a board member of the National Hispanic Medical Association.
