-What is the Best Advice you ever received?
Father Jim Tobin, Chaplin of the Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University, said the following words to me: "Always be true to yourself." This can be interpreted in several different ways, depending on the person, but it really meant something to me. He was right, you have to be true to yourself and to God also. You always have to reflect and remind yourself of who you really are, and never forget where you came from.
-What type of media do you use daily ?
My media mix starts and ends with music! I listen to very diverse genres, and music in different languages. I think it's beautiful, how music helps us connect regardless of the languages we speak. I also enjoy reading news articles, about different events going on the world.
-What do you do when you are not at school?
When I am not at school, I am at home with my family in Phoenix, Arizona. When I'm home, I mostly sleep, eat, and spend a lot of time with my parents and brother
-What are your goals for 2017?
My number one goal for 2017, is to graduate college. I've worked really hard, and I've sacrificed a lot of time away from my family. I want nothing more but to walk the stage and obtain my diploma. I'm a first generation college student, so this is a pretty big deal for my family and me. Also, I want to build a stronger relationship with God. I want to make more time for prayer, and feed my soul.
-What defines you as a student leader?
Servant leadership defines me as a student leader, because serving gives me a purpose.
