During a recent conversation that included ALPFA Board member and former Chairman, Hector Perez, we discussed how we are now highlighting different ALPFA members on ALPFA.org/News on our People Spotlight Feature. Soon after I received an email from Hector which is, in essence, a loving tribute and honor to this accomplished Latina, his wife, Diana Perez. Here's what he had to say...
The thought came to me that one of our members worth highlighting is my wife, Diana Perez. I say that not because she is my wife but because her story is a great story that serves to showcase ALPFA members and also educate and inspire.
I am married to one of the most incredible mothers I have ever met, my wife Diana Perez. She is nothing short of amazing and I would love for her to be featured as a working mother.
Diana is a loving mother of two girls and stepmother to a third. She is a daughter, sister, wife, and role model to many.
She is a banking executive and currently enrolled in the Columbia EMBA program. Diana tirelessly balances home, work, studies, as well as self. The day after completing finals, she was off running the NY Women's Half Marathon. At the same time, she mentors others regarding work, motherhood, marriage and career advancement.
Diana loves to travel and together we find a way to make it all work. She does this at the age of 37. I must also mention that she arrived in the United States from Colombia as a teenager and had to learn the language.
I think Diana's story is one of inspiration, hard work, love, balance, perseverance and the power of a great attitude. I think many can learn from her story.
If this special tribute by Diana's husband, Hector Perez inspires you, please consider sharing:
