ALPFA Pittsburgh Chapter History
March 6, 2008, marked the birth date of the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) chapter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the successful launch of the chapter at the Deloitte & Touche offices downtown. The launch event was attended by approximately forty professionals, who learned about the history and reach of the ALPFA family, networked, and shared abundant enthusiasm and ides.
Newly appointed President of the ALPFA Chapter in Pittsburgh, Henry Ventura, a Manager at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services shared his passion and dedication for the organization. Manny Espinoza, CEO of ALPFA National shared his vision and goals for ALPFA National and the local chapter with charisma and style.
What started as an idea at the ALPFA National Conference in Orlando, Florida in 2007, and was sparked by the willingness of a handful of people to make Pittsburgh the next stop of the successful growth of this leading association, is now a reality. With close to 7,000 members and over 30 location chapters, ALPFA has been uniting and serving the professional Hispanic population for more than three decades.
Now, Pittsburgh has become the new hometown of an ALPFA Chapter, supported by members from a number of organizations, such as Deloitte & Touche, The Bank of New York Mellon, Ernst & Young, Prudential Financial, KPMG, Liberty Mutual, PwC, 84 Lumber, PNC Bank, among others.
This is important to you because:
ALPFA Pittsburgh looks to provide to its members a venue which will allow professional networking, development of leadership talent, relationship building and proving of integrity.
Pittsburgh has been voted as "The Most Livable City" in the United States and it has tremendous potential, but it can only reach its fullest potential with the drive and enthusiasm of its multicultural melt of generations. Through your participation and support there is no question that the new Pittsburgh ALPFA chapter will be successful.
