Programs
ALPFA is committed to developing and providing quality programs, including those involving leadership, women’s initiatives and community service.
ALPFA Cares

ALPFA’s members make it a priority to give back to the communities in which we live. One prominent alliance which allows us to continue to do this is with the IRS. Every year, ALPFA members volunteer to participate in the IRS “VITA” (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance”) Program, assisting those in the Latino community with tax return preparation. Additionally, ALPFA works with sponsors at the local level, such as Prudential, to provide Financial Literacy courses to chapter members as well as people in the community. Also, a new program added in November 2007 is a pilot High School Outreach via a partnership with the Junior Achievement Hispanic Initiative.
ALPFA Leaders
Our leadership programs include Chapter Board Leadership Summits, where we develop and train chapter board members from across the U.S. and Puerto Rico on how to successfully operate their boards, increase membership, develop corporate partnerships and engage members in quality events.
Several chapters have also produced extremely successful local Chapter Leadership Summits, which include prominent, executive-level speakers from ALPFA’s top-notch sponsors. Read more on ALPFA Chapter Leadership Summits in "ALPFA IMPACT" Winter 2009 edition, page 24. Visit the newsletter archive for more.
ALPFA Students

ALPFA expands opportunities for students who seek careers in Accounting, Finance and related fields of business by empowering them to develop as leaders through the management of student chapters, delivering quality student programs focused on professional development, providing access to our industry network of professional members and sponsors, offering access to scholarship programs and creating opportunities to network with other students.
