Junior Achievment

 The ALPFA National office is pleased to announce a recent alliance with Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide®, specifically its JA Hispanic Initiative program, to launch a pilot program focused on High-School outreach. ALPFA is excited to be involved with execution of the program in two of JA’s pilot cities – New York and Los Angeles.

According to the 2006 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, 11.5% of Hispanic males and 13.1% of Hispanic females over the age of 25 have attained a Bachelor’s degree or higher education. ALPFA’s alliance with Junior Achievement will take action to address this issue by stressing the importance of higher education to our Hispanic youth.
