The U.S. Chairman of PwC on Keeping Millennials Engaged
Nearly half of the membership of ALPFA, Inc. (The Association of Latino Professionals For America) are students… Millennials. In fact, 25% of Americans are Millennials and 1 in 5 of those are Hispanic. This is one of the most social, engaged populations in our history and of Millennials; Latinos are the most active on mobile and social media.
The PwC study uncovered some revealing attitudes, “’The guys in my generation want fast-growing careers. We want everything now.’ Another said, ‘… If the work doesn’t really interest you, you can quit in two years or three years. It doesn’t really matter. You can change the place you work—liking your work is more important.’” In other words, personal fulfilment matters to the Millennial…whether it matters more or they are just more willing to express their desires is unclear. The fact remains, you must learn to effectively engage them if you hope to have a solid relationship with them.
