Junior Achievement Economics for Success provides practical information at a critical time in an 8th grader’s life. This program includes personal finance and the importance of identifying education and career goals based on a student’s skills, interest and values. It also demonstrates the economic benefits of staying in school.

How the Program Works:
Two volunteers will team up in the classroom to present the Junior Achievement curriculum and share personal work and life experiences that reinforce the importance of staying in school. We plan to partner an ALPFA professional with a USF student for each two person team. Volunteers will attend a two and a half hour training provided by JA. Specific curriculum and activities will be discussed; suggestions for an effective presentation, teaching tips, and student character traits will be reviewed in detail.

Training:
Volunteers are required to attend a training session provided by JA. An ALPFA training sessions date will be provided at the USF Main campus with a TBD date/time.  Additional training sessions will be held at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce located at 201 N. Franklin Street, Suite #201, Tampa, FL 33602.
